Gelligaer Common is a historic upland landscape in South East Wales, rich in archaeology, natural beauty, and community significance.

Gelligaer Common spans approximately 8 km long and 1 km wide, lying between the county boroughs of Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly. The landscape includes the ridges of Cefn Merthyr, Cefn Gelligaer, Cefn y Brithdir, and areas north of the Heads of the Valleys road, rising from around 250m to over 470m above sea level at summits like Pen Garnbugail and Mynydd Fochriw.
